It's Fall.....

I LOVE the fall season.  The trees, the orchards, just everything about it.

This year is kind of a sad fall though.  With the warm spring, and then the frost the orchards don't have much at all.  Almost all of the orchards around me lost their crops.  I was so looking forward as I do every year to apple picking . But sadly this year it won't happen.

Some of them are at least still selling the apples, so I can still make apple pie.  It will be a costly one, but for me, I think they taste so much better from the orchards than the store.

We were taking a drive and it's just amazing to see the colors.  Just 2 weeks ago we were a few hours north of the house and even then their wasn't much change.  But all of a sudden the leaves are gorgeous oranges and reds.  I think my favorite color is Red.  What is your favorite tree color.

About a month ago they were talking on the news about how the drought will have affected the trees.  Some of them lost leaves and they never changed colors.  So glad that wasn't the norm this year.
