Remember this Post about Paying it Forward. Well I am so excited to say that Our Friend is home from Afghanistan. I made this dress for his little girl.
Yesterday the Calvary he is in came home. It was a very emotional day for a lot of people. I know as I saw the pictures I couldn't help but tear up.
Our local press did a story on our friends when the Calvary left. And they did a follow up now. I have to say they did a wonderful job.
As you see the next pictures you may need a tissue. I know I do every time I look at them.
This couple are such great people. I am so happy for them to finally be a family. Jeff wasn't able to come home for his daughter's birth. But with all this great technology, he was able to skype at the time. It's so amazing the things technology has brought us.
To think even just 10 years ago the technology wasn't around for our soldiers to do things like skype. It is great that our soldiers are able to keep in contact with home easier now. They still do enjoy getting the cards in the mail and those gift packages. So if you know a soldier send them something. Or help contribute to places that do send packages to them. I know they would all enjoy it.
I think this last one is my absolute favorite picture of them. She is so comfortable with her dad. And this was the first time he ever held her. Through technology she was able to hear his voice, and with pictures could see him. So she knew who he was.
