Last night was Date Night. Do you still have a date night? When we were first married, we always had date night. Every Sunday night. It was great. Then our daughter came along. We still got out about 2-3 times a month. Now with our son, it has proven to be harder. Now date night is only about every 2-3 months.
So what did we do. Well, we didn't leave until about 6ish, and we went to Red lobster. YUM. We only go about once a year. We make sure it is with the Endless Shrimp. Yup we are those people. By the time we sat down was almost 7:30. We had to wait over an hour. It was worth it.
We had talked about going to a movie, but decided by the time we were done we would go home. It was almost 9 before we arrived home. A movie out would have put us between 11 and 12.
We enjoyed the night without the kids. They stayed at their Grandparent's house. Of course who wouldn't want to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa.

ReplyDeleteMe and my boyfriend of 12 years have never gone on an official date. But we do spend a lot of quality time together, even if it is just staying home :)
ReplyDeleteI love Red Lobster! Ooh, now I want to go there for lunch :D LOL. My church is an amazing church they offer free childcare every Saturday night from 6-10:30pm dinner is provided for the kids, the only catch is you have to attend the service from 5-6:00pm which I actually prefer to go to church on Saturday's anyway so it works out perfectly. What is even better is that my church is 2 min drive from our house, so we go on date night pretty much every Saturday. My husband and I have all of our family in California, and we live in Arizona so this is a true blessing :)
ReplyDeleteIts been awhile since we have had a date night. Our schedules are crazy right now since the husband works and goes to school full time. I am hoping when he graduates next year that we can have a lot more!

ReplyDeleteWe were the maybe date night once a year couple for a long time, and then we decided it was important to make it happen. Our last date night was at a wonderful Italian restaurant were we just talked and enjoyed great wine and food!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest one could not handle a sitter. He has a routine and we have to stick to it. When he was at daycare and they tried to change rooms, they had to send a teacher with him for over 2 months. We finally pulled him out. We would never enjoy ourselves if we went out and knew he was panicked and crying till sick, he doesn't do the crying to get you to stay and then stop when you walk out the door, it is constant until you home back and then some. We do date night in after the kids go to bed. We do take out and Redbox! It sounds like you had a great time though, I will get to go out again one day!
