Just about 9 weeks to go.

Do you know what is just under 10 weeks away? If you guessed Christmas then you are CORRECT. It's that time of year that we have to start thinking about what to purchase for everyone.

This year will be a lot of handmade items. I know some people think handmade and are turned off from it. I don't know if it's because of our society that everything has to be bought, or if people think handmade just means that it isn't as good.  To me handmade means more, since it is time consuming.

So far I have made my son a vest and am working on a hat to go with it.  I also made my daughter a vest.
All of them are reversible.  My sons I used his favorite ones.  He is a HUGE bob the builder fan and Thomas the train.  I was super excited when I found these prints.

My kids enjoy having vests at their grandma's house.  They like to play all sorts of games and they wear them a lot.  I made some a few years ago for the older two.  Well of course they are getting small, so they will be getting new ones.

For my daughter I of course had to make hers in pink.  She is all about the pink.  When I bought the pink camo print, I wasn't sure about it.  I liked it.  But now that I made something, I am really loving this print.

  2. Omg, I love those vests! They look so cute. I think handmade is way better than store-bought. When you're giving for Christmas, anyway. :) On my birthday, I prefer money. Lol.

  7. Those are awesome! I love handmade. Even if kids don't appreciate the work that goes into it I know that I worked hard to give them something that is one of a kind.
