I have to say everyday my kids say or do something that just gets me. It makes me stop and just realize how smart or funny, or great they are.
My daughter is only 4. She so wanted to be in kindergarten this year. Next year she will be going. But she amazes me all the time at how smart she is. She loves learning new things all the time. We have a new word of the week, and she loves them. We always pick something relevant This week's word was VIBRANT.
Today was just the best though. We left our house to get some lunch for hubs and go see him for lunch time. As we left, she told me that we were in a spaceship. We had just left Neptune, and had to go to Saturn to pick up lunch. Then after Saturn we had to go to Mars to hub's work. Then had to come back to Neptune for nap time.
I asked here where you grandparents live. One set lives on Earth and the other lives on the moon. She didn't leave out Venus or Jupiter though. As driving she said we had past those planets as well.
I am so excited that she wants to learn all the time. She is just like a little sponge. She soaks everything up. I hope she continues this way in school.

ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome!! You never realize just how much kids are listening and remembering things. My little brothers memory is amazing, he is 10 and will remember the smallest things that we told him when he was younger.
ReplyDeleteI don't have children, but it's great that your daughter has learned the planets and can assign them to various locations! Cute.
