Diaper Keychains.

I have been seeing these SUPER cute Cloth Diaper keychains.  I have been wanting one for a while.  I figured it can't be that hard to make them. Right.  SO WRONG, on that one.  My cloth diaper pattern I made up in about 5 or 6 tries.  Wasn't too bad at all.  The key chain pattern was about 30 tries.  I still have some tweaking I want to do to it, but for the moment I am satisfied.

I say that now, but in a few days I will have it tweaked to what I want.  I would like to make as a pocket and have a mini insert.  But for now I am happy with a snap-in insert.

Review - Tyler's Coffee

I am not a big coffee drinker. I do drink occasionally though. My biggest problem is the aftertaste. I have noticed that some coffee's have the aftertaste and others don't.  And some are stronger than others.  So when I was given the chance to review Tyler's coffee I thought, YEAH.

They market as acid-free, and no bitter aftertaste.  That alone I was sold on the idea.  BUT then I have had others and they say the same thing.  So I was a bit skeptical

So after drinking a cup, I was quite pleased.  It had a lot of flavor, but not the bitterness.  I didn't need to go and eat something to get rid of the taste.  I was quite pleased and excited that they lived up to what they said.  That it's acid free, and bitter free as well.  I will be getting more of this coffee for in my house .

Review- Alphabet Trip to the Limerick Zoo (full color ebook)

I love things that I get to review for my kids.  This was a great book.  I haven't had my tablet very long, and so this was great for 2 reasons for me.  I was able to learn more about my tablet, and my kids were going to have fun.

My kids really enjoyed the book itself.  It was brightly colored and great illustrations.  The downside, was they do prefer a regular book they can hold and turn the pages.  I thought it was harder to see the pictures and that was because of the size of my tablet.  I downloaded the program onto the computer and it was a bit bigger and so easier for the kids to see the pictures

Review- Woman of God wristband

I was super excited to get this wristband.  I really do try to live the way that God has asked me to.  And this is a nice constant reminder throughout the day for me.  It fits perfect with most any outfit I wear.  It's easy enough for me to see throughout the day.

It's ONLY March.......

Looks like someone forgot to tell the weather that it's just March, and not the middle of June.  The definite advantage is that I get to hang the diapers back outside.  Well all the clothes actually.  The downside, is that I only do one load of laundry a day. I really don't mind just one a day really.  I just LOVE the sight of laundry hanging outside though.

When it got nice last weekend, I went and had to put up the clothesline and instantly had to do some diaper laundry.  I know I am not the only one enjoying this warm spell.

Now my kids have asked for the small pool to be brought out.  That is not something I can bring myself to put out in the middle of March.  I really did think about it though.  I don't think too many people would really believe that March in Michigan a pool could be used.  We have been in the 80's and pushing the 90's a few days.

Cloth Trainers

So my project this week was cloth trainers.  I am really Loving how they turned out.  I made regular ones like underwear and then a few side snapping as well.  I like the side snapping since if they make a mess you can still clean it up easily.

Happy GREEN Day

I am sure everyone enjoyed something Green today. I know people have the green beer, and I heard Burger King did Green ketchup. What did you do.

Here we had the lepruchan visit us. We had green feet prints throughout the house. And of course the kids found some of his gold. They were super excited about it.

For me I worked on some green items. Not necessarily the color green but i worked on some mama cloth and some cloth diapers.

Wow all those storms

I can't imagine what everyone went through this weekend with the storms. I am thankful to say the people I know in the area are all accounted for. It took some time, but they were able to account for all their family members as well.

I remember being little and having the tornadoes go through the town I live in. But I couldn't imagine having entire towns wiped out. One lady I know, lives just outside of her town, but her entire town is gone. They are just going to demolish everything their and restart. I couldn't imagine that at all. Thankfully their are people who are willing to help them out.

I have a group of vendor friends on Facebook, and they are going to hold an auction to help them out. We know it wont' raise a lot of money, but really any little bit helps them in this time.

Vacation and Cloth

So this past week I was on vacation. It was such a decision if I cloth or not. It was just at my parents so I had access to a washer and all. But they just upgraded to an HE and I was more unsure about it. I know my routine for my top loader.

I decided to go ahead and take the cloth. Really when it came down to it my son REALLY doesn't like sposie's at all. He has been in them several times and every time he shreds them. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but it is.

When on vacation I make sure to take enough for 3 days and 3 nights. I wash like I do at home. I wash every other day. I do end up having to dry the diapers while gone as I don't have enough time to air dry them all. I tend to take more fitteds with me, as I don't like to put PUL in the dryer. I know a lot of moms don't have issued, but for me I prefer to hang dry my PUL.

I have taken flats and prefolds before as well. The nice thing about them is they are easy to handwash if I had to.

I have noticed when at my parents they are not as used to having the diapers around. Of course there is a small smell with it. When there they have a wash tub. So I put the diapers in their. I did notice that if I rinsed them every time the smell has hardly noticeable. I don't think they even noticed at all. I did notice as well, that I didn't need to do the initial soak.
