Nordic Naturals is a great company for your Omega 3 fish oil.  They have a great variety as well.  They have for children, adults, vegetarians, and pregnant woman.

So of course you are thinking, why should I use Nordic Naturals?  They have been around since 1995.  They have third party testing that is done on purity and freshness of their oils.  They taste great.  And the list can go on.

Why do I like them?  Well, they are about sustainability.  They care about being responsible.  With both fishing for the product, and for the production on land.  They have a history of how to fish Atlantic Cod, that is beneficial to both them, and the environment.  They uphold themselves to high standards.

Potty Cover - Review

A Little bit of Everything and Potty Cover brings up the next giveaway. 

If you enjoy going out with your little ones, than these are for you.  We enjoy going out.   I always try and get them to go before we leave the house.  But of course we know how kids are.  And sometimes they just can't hold it in.  When you have to use the toilet outside of the house, this is a great solution.

Now most bathrooms do offer the covers.  And they are nice as an adult.  But what about a child.  They can not reach the floor, and of course the need to hold onto the seat sometimes.  These covers allow the entire seat to be covered.  .  They cover the entire seat and drop down on the sides and the front.

They are not reusable.  They are one time use.  I would like to see a reusable product.  But for the once or twice a month we use them they are great.  We keep them in all the cars, as again you never know when you need them.

This is tooth and gum powder.  You may be thinking.  Why I use tooth paste.  Well this product has so many great aspects to it.  It's fluoride free, gluten free, and so many other great aspects to it.  

My husband is a back packer and he took this with him back packing.  He loved it.  It is light weight and takes up little space.  And he liked it.  All you do is wet the tooth brush and put some on it.  Brush like normal.

What Children need to Learn to Read -- Review

A Little Bit of Everything and Learners Lane are excited to bring you What Children Need to Learn to Read.


I received this and have learned a lot of things. After thumbing through the book, I did notice that the book is laid out with all the age groups.  From infant all the way up.  Even for an adult who had trouble reading, they would be able to use the techniques shown in the book.


The author is Michelle Vallene.  She is an elementary school teacher, the founder of Learners Lane, and a mother of three children.  Learners lane offers up unique and engaging educational products.  She saw challenges that faced children to become successful leaders.  There are many ways to teach children.  It takes time and and some knowledge, and you can teach your child to read.


I feel the biggest piece of advice in the book is to read to your child.  If you start from an infant, you can help instill a love of reading for them.  But while reading, you want to interact as well.  Get them involved in the story and they will stay interested.


She has rhymes and songs and even tongue twisters in the book.  She has games and fun activities to do with your children and for the different ages.  They will help teach the letters, and sounds, and how the words form and go together to make a story.

I'm sure I speak for all the dessert lovers out there when I say that there is no better way to satisfy your sweet tooth than with a ginormous cupcake. When I heard that I was given the opportunity to review the Big Top Cupcake pan, I was beyond ecstatic. All of the possible frosting flavors and fillings came rushing through my mind and I couldn't help but feel a sense of giddiness knowing that I'll be having a cupcake that's 10 times the size of a normal cupcake in my possession. Can you imagine?

So when the Big Top Cupcake arrived at my doorstep, you already know what kind of excitement I was feeling. As usual, I ripped open the shipping box, grab the packaging out, and start reading everything from cover to cover. I wasted no time taking it to the kitchen and putting it to use. My husband looked at me like I was crazy because I had this huge smile on my face I almost looked crazy. Yes, that's what baking equipment does to me. Is that weird?


I decided to make an English toffee buttermilk cake with a sweet orange glaze to drizzle over it. The thought of it made my mouth water and that only got me to working faster. So, my ginormous cupcake adventure began....

With the pans lightly sprayed and the batter all ready to go, I finally popped them into the oven and waited (im)patiently for the results....

Doesn't it look yummy? The directions were so easy to follow and it came out just the way I wanted it to. A couple things that I did to make everything run as smoothly as I expected were to spray the pans very lightly with non-stick spray and level out the cakes when they were out of the oven and cooled. The directions mentioned this and I followed it to the letter....I'm glad I did because things worked out perfectly. The pans are very sturdy and can stand up to the heat without getting warped or damaged. The best part is, it's refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher safe! So convenient.

I have to say, I think I've found a new baking toy. There are so many possibilities with this pan and you're not limited to just making it look like a cupcake. As you can see above, I simply did a glaze drizzle to show hopefully show you how it looks when they come out of the oven. Next time, I'm thinking of doing a cute little bee hive. Oh the possibilities....

I am absolutely ecstatic that I had the opportunity to try out The Big Top Cupcake. It fit so perfectly into my lifestyle that I couldn't be more happy about doing this review. And guess what? I was recently given the opportunity to review a girl’s costume.  My daughter now thinks I have the best job in the whole world!  After nearly an hour of debating from the many choices; she finally chose “the one”.  I don’t blame her for taking so long to decide…there was a TON to choose from.   She finally chose the Hollywood Starlet Child Costume.

We celebrate Halloween here, and we play dress up quite often (it’s one of my youngest children’s favorite things to do).   I’ve seen my share of costumes with her dress up sessions.  This one is a higher quality than we expected (or are used to).  In fact, there is double stitching on the majority of this one!  It included the dress (beautiful), a faux fur stole (so soft), and a matching pair of glovelettes.  I also loved that they suggested accessories to go with her costume.

(We only have 1 “mart” and they only have a few costumes to choose from).  I love that my daughter will have a unique costume that fits her personality.  I especially love that it won’t cost me anymore than “the mart”.  ;)  But it doesn’t stop there…you can also sign up for a discount rate (good for a full year)!  And then, there's the extremely fast shipping.  This was ordered on 6/12, and was delivered to my door on 6/14!!!

Every time I think of candles in wine bottles I cant help but think of Lady and the Tramp. Today I am going to show you how to make this easy project.



Supplies:

clean, empty glass bottles (pick something pretty so you can use it again and again)
tapered drip candles (or cheap candles that drip)

Directions
1. Choose decorative glass bottles, something special to you or with a shape you really like
2. choose your candle, you want ones that drip
3. fit your candle into the mouth of the bottle, if your candle is too chunky to fit the neck of your bottle, pare it down with a vegetable knife until it will fit snugly.As the wax builds up around the neck, you might find it easier to add additional candles by melting a little of the wax at the top and sticking the base of the new candle firmly into place.

4. find a place to set it, set your candle on a non-flammable surface, and preferably a surface that can easily be cleaned if melted wax drips onto it. Set your wine bottle on a pretty plate, or some other flat, non-flammable surface, for easy cleanup and safety.
5. Light your candle and let it drip
The woman I mentioned above did her melting and then after she had her drip effect added new candles which she lit for the wedding reception its was so pretty!

Quaker Soft Baked Bars... YUM

YUM.  Doesn't that look good.  This is one of the newest creations by Quaker.  They are the new Quaker Soft Baked Bar.  I know I love the Quaker line.  We go through a lot of oatmeal, and granola bars monthly.  So this defintely look good to me.
I am definitly likeing the nutrition of the new bars.  They have a lot of fiber and protein and not a lot of calories.  Only 140 of them.  I am come to enjoy the great wholesome food of Quaker products.

The Banana Nut Bread  look like they would be great as a breakfast snack.   I bet they would taste great warmed up.  This one would also be a hit with my daughter.  She loves anything with bananas.  And her favorite is banana bread.

The Cinnamin Pecan Bread would be a favorite of my husband.  I know he would love to have these for breakfast daily.
I am excited to check the stores and see if these are in stock yet.  If not, then I will be watching for them.

Hilary Weisman Graham is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, and novelist. She lives in rural New Hampshire with her husband and son, roughly thirty minutes away from the nearest grocery store.

Hilary Weisman Graham is a screenwriter, Emmy-nominated TV producer, filmmaker, and the author of Reunited (Simon & Schuster – June 12, 2012), her debut young adult novel.



In 2007, Hilary was selected as a contestant on the Mark Burnett/Steven Spielberg-produced reality series On the Lot: The Search for America’s Next Great Director. Out of a pool of 12,000 submissions, Hilary made it onto the show as one of the eighteen finalists and stayed in the competition until only nine contestants remained, making her the longest-standing female director.



Among Hilary’s many film-related honors, her personal favorite happened on On the Lot, when Carrie Fisher (best-selling author/screenwriter/Princess Leia) watched one of Hilary’s short films, looked her in the eye, and said, “I am jealous of your writing.”
