It’ that time of year. Everyone is getting sick. Around us, it’s been running rampant. So how do you handle sick kids? We have the flu running around and now another virus. Not sure what it is, but it’s not any fun. With that, you get headaches, and other symptoms include, sore throat, cough, congestion, fever, and a runny nose. It isn’t fun. I had my daughter home this past week. We are on day 4 of the headache, but at least she is finally acting normal. Up until today this week has been her being so tired she comes home from schools sleeps a while is about about 2 hours and back to bed for 10 hours of sleep. I kept her home one day and she slept most of it.
With these symptoms, thankfully I can do small things to help her feel better. The children’s advil has come in handy to help with the headache. It’s still hanging around, but that’s the nature of the virus. It is making it manageable though for her. That’s what I care about. I love the day and night combo pack from Robitussin. With 2 different flavors, she can have both in one day. she gets the smallest dose labelled for her age. She knows if she needs we can do more, but I like knowing that her body is still helping to fight off whatever is going one.
Now when you have to sit home with kids, it can be a bit mundane. They want Mom to be by them. As a Mom, we do that. We drop everything we are doing, and snuggle up with our sick kids. When they are on the couch, they want TV. You don’t always want to watch their shows. Thankfully you can go to Target and use the Cartwheel app, and not only buy the medicine that you need (10% off Pfizer paediatric products) , but you can get a 20th Century Fox DVD (Ice Age: Collision Course, The Sandlot, The Peanuts Movie). Any of those movies are great to watch with your kids. I sat on the couch and enjoyed Sandlot. It was one I remember watching as a child and so enjoyed. So I had to pick that one up for us to share. I haven’t let my boys watch yes, as that will be our sick day movie for them as well.
Do you want a chance to win a small care package from Pfizer? Who doesn’t. You can enter by commenting below with which movie you would pick and why. That’s all you have to do to enter. Tell your friends as well, who doesn’t love a great Cartwheel savings.
