Halloween is here! You got all your decorations up and candies are all ready for the trick or treats. Now all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the holiday spirit.
But, as a homeowner, you must make sure that everything is safe and sound before the Halloween night hits. You must make sure that everything is organized accordingly to avoid any kind of accident or troubles while enjoying All Hallows Eve.
Below are some tips and advice that can make your Halloween celebration night more fun and risk-free.
Make sure that your pathway, front yard and steps are free from any kind of obstacles or debris. Sweep away the dust and dirt and any other objects that covers the area surrounding your property. Remove flower pots that are placed near your steps to reduce risk of stumbling and falling.
Use proper lighting around your home. Although it’s Halloween, it doesn’t mean that your home needs to be dark to look creepy and scary. If you don’t want bright lights, then you can use Christmas lights to illuminate your property. You can also use lights that are designed like a candle to brighten up the pathway and steps of your home.
Use harmless decors. Don’t use real shovels or pitchforks if you decide to décor your garden like a graveyard. Use rubber alternatives or something that won’t cause any harm when touched.
Keep pets locked in a safe place. You don’t want your pet barking non-stop at your front door when someone comes for trick or treats. Lock them up in a safe place, preferably in a soundproof room so they won’t get stressed.
Avoid fire hazard. Don’t use real candles if possible. Illuminate your Jack O Lantern or other décor items with led lights. Make sure that electrical items and gadgets that you’ll use for the Halloween is in good condition.
